Biography

James previously worked across various roles with the Victoria Police Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit (SIIU) since its establishment in 2013. James was involved with intelligence and investigations, betting data analysis, managing the annual Victoria Police Sporting Integrity Symposium, as well as preparing government and industry submissions. In 2019, James was appointed Deputy Chair of the Intelligence and Investigations Advisory Group, providing advice to the National Integrity of Sport Unit’s Sports Integrity Taskforce, prior to the establishment of Sport Integrity Australia (SIA). In 2021, James was seconded to the Office of the Racing Integrity Commissioner to explore the links between the racing industry and organised crime. James joined SIA in 2024 and is currently Acting Head of Strategy & International Policy.
