Biography
The Associate Dean (Academic) in the Faculty of Arts & Education at Charles Sturt University, Brendon is a former school teacher and schooling system leader (including valuable recent industry and teaching experience) with almost two decades involved in senior research, learning and teaching academic roles across multiple universities.
Brendon is a multi-award winning teacher, researcher, author and passionate ‘play advocacy warrior’ for reform across primary and secondary school contexts. He has led major national campaigns to better promote play across all childhood age groups and developed a range of policies, position statements and recommendations relating to improving outdoor recreational influences, especially in schools.
