Geoff has been in the Sports Surfacing Industry since 1996, beginning his career in Research & Development with the Rebound Ace range of Sports Surfaces at AV Syntec, Brisbane, Laboratory. Geoff then moved into project work, overseeing the promotion and installation of Sports Surfaces for prestigious events such as Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, African Games, South East Asian Games, ITF, WTA as well as numerous Tennis Centres, Resorts and Schools etc, In 2003 California Sports Surfaces took over the Rebound brand and took with it only a fraction of their staff, Geoff was one of those selected. Geoff continued to be influential in promoting their leading Sports Surfacing Brands to the Australian & International markets. In the last 15 - 20 years Geoff has been involved in over 50 international Sports Surfacing projects notably overseeing the surfacing aspects of prestigious events such as the 2010 New Delhi Commonwealth Games, 2010 Singapore Youth Olympics, WTA Finals Events in Istanbul and Singapore 2011 – 2019, Fast Fours Exhibition Events for Tennis Australia 2015 – 2019, Laver Cup in Prague & Chicago 2018 – 2019. Geoff is extremely knowledgeable in his field which is only reinforced by a scientific-technical background. Geoff is extremely proud to now represent MAPEI TNS range of Sports Surfaces which he identified with straightaway embracing their proud history in the Research & Development of up-to-date market leading products within the Sports Surfacing Industry. Geoff Walsh joined Mapei Australia on 22nd July 2019 in the position of Technical Sales Manager - Northern States comprising NSW, ACT,QLD & NT and has since been promoted to the position of National Product Manager for Sports Surfacing since January 2023 and continues to strive to bring new innovative products to the market.
