Biography

Andrew is an experienced sports administrator with a background in school leadership and the school sport landscape. He is passionate about providing positive educational experiences, with young people placed at the centre of his decision-making process. Andrew is the current State Teams Manager at School Sport Victoria / Department of Education; where he leads the state team representative program, including students and teachers travelling all around the country to compete in the School Sport Australia Championships. He has previously held roles in school leadership across government and non-government education settings, with a specialisation in the early childhood sector. Andrew holds a Master’s degree in International Education, as well as a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.

Biography

Gina Oliver, originally from Tasmania, is a dedicated educator with teaching experience across Tasmania, the UK, and various schools in Victoria. She now lives and teaches in Geelong and is a proud foundation staff member at Iona College Geelong, a school committed to “Learning to Change the World.” As a guest speaker on the topic Connecting Sport, Providers and Education to Change Lives, Gina is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for students. She designed the Year 10 HPE elective Active and Able, which connects students with local sport providers through workshops and incursions. The program aims to change lives by promoting inclusion through educating students about disability and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect within the school and the wider community.

Her career began in physical education, wellbeing, and outdoor recreation, where she developed inclusive programs that supported student growth and engagement. Today, Jodie leads initiatives that strengthen partnerships between education and the sport sector to increase participation and foster lifelong learning. Committed to creating equitable and sustainable systems, she brings a values-led, people-focused approach that prioritises meaningful collaboration, strategic design, and improved outcomes across education and sport.
