Biography
I’ve enjoyed 40 years’ experience in ‘leisure management’ having started out as ‘Lifeguard’. Senior leadership roles include Commercial Director and Group Operations Director for Everyone Active, Managing Director for mission-led charity Active Nation and Chief Operating Officer for Places Leisure. I’m currently CEO at Stockport Active CIC, an NED at ActiveXchange, and a Board Advisor to the Longevity Network. I’m a Fellow of CIMSPA and have developed and deliver a Transformational Leadership Programme for the active well-being sector.
I believe that people make the world go round and am passionate about the impact that sport and physical activity can have on population health.
In a nutshell, I’m persuasive and challenging of convention and always with a dollop of good humour.
