Biography
Stuart Hodge is the CEO of Sport NSW, appointed in January 2023. He has over 25 years of experience in sports administration across multiple sports and major events. Prior to joining Sport NSW, Hodge served as CEO of Football NSW for nearly six years, where he played a pivotal role in the growth and governance of the sport. His international experience includes senior positions in Qatar, Football Australia and Rugby Australia. Hodge holds a Master’s degree in International Sports Management and is known for his strategic vision, strong leadership, and passion for sport.
James Quarmby

Biography
James Quarmby is the Head of Participation at Cricket Australia, bringing over 15 years of experience as a sports administrator. With a strong background that includes roles at the NRL and Special Olympics Australia, James is recognised as a participation expert with a passion for future-proofing cricket across the country.
In his current role, James is responsible for driving sustainable growth in the game, implementing innovative new programs, creating exceptional experiences for kids and increasing engagement among girls and multicultural communities. This work centres on long-term strategy development and alignment to the Play Well strategic framework, as well as exploring future opportunities that will arise with cricket’s inclusion as an Olympic sport.
