Biography
Cameron serves as the General Manager of Participation at the Australian Sports Commission, where he oversees the organisation’s efforts to ensure Australians have lifelong involvement in sport. A key component of this role was the development and subsequent implementation of Play Well, Australia’s first national participation strategy.
With over 20 years of experience in the sports industry, Cameron has held various executive positions at local, state, and national levels. He brings a wealth of expertise, including a deep understanding of organisational governance and reform, the development and delivery of participation programs, commercial partnerships, facility development, and workforce management.
In addition to his professional experience, Cameron is a volunteer coach and umpire for the junior clubs where his children play, providing personal insights that enhance his professional knowledge.
Cameron is passionate about improving the Australian sports system to ensure all Australians can experience safe, welcoming, inclusive, and fun sporting activities.
