Biography

Nick has over 30 years’ experience working in the Aquatics and Recreation industries, and for the past 20 years has held a number of executive management positions. He has formal qualifications in Physical Education, Facility Management and Business Administration. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Director of BelgraviaPRO and member of the CEO Institute. Nick was the former Chief Operating Officer of YMCA Australia and General Manager with Maroondah City Council and in July 2014 he commenced in the role of CEO, Belgravia Leisure. Nick has a passion for values based leadership and a commitment to continuously improve organisational culture to help achieve growth and success.

Biography

Kath Thom is the CEO of Peninsula Leisure, a Local Government Business Enterprise company of Frankston City Council. This agile model of management allows for a single focus toward their vision of ‘Improving lives by inspiring activity and connection’.   Peninsula Leisure manages the big box aquatic and recreation facility, PARC, in Frankston, the outdoor seasonal pool in Frankston North, Pines Forest Aquatic Centre, and the much-loved Frankston Skatepark. Kath and her talented team have also committed to tackling more, with a specific mission that ‘Every Child in Frankston Can Swim’, aiming to support a reduction in drowning incidents on the Peninsula. And most recently the companion goal for the city that ‘More People are More Active, More Often’.
