Collaborating closely with clients, she optimises design and planning strategies to enhance both investment value and operational efficiency. Her extensive experience includes designing projects compliant with International Sports Federation standards. Passionate about inclusive design, accessibility, and sustainability, Irina views arenas and stadiums as transformative community hubs. She integrates universal design principles and sustainable practices into her projects, creating versatile, adaptable spaces that accommodate diverse events and foster unity. Irina is also a LEED AP and WELL AP certified professional, underscoring her commitment to sustainability, health, and well-being.

Biography

Dr. Neil Gibson is the Precinct Director at Blacktown International Sports Park. With a rich background in sports science and performance, he previously served as the Director of Sport, Performance, and Health at Oriam, Scotland's sports performance centre. Dr. Gibson holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology and has extensive experience working with elite athletes and sports organisations, including the Scottish Football Association and Team Scotland. His career highlights include overseeing performance services for the Scottish men's national football team, contributing to the development of Scotland's National Sports Performance Centre, and attending two Commonwealth Games. Dr. Gibson joined Blacktown City Council in 2020, where he now manages the operations of Blacktown International Sports Park, Joe McAleer Oval, and the Blacktown Exercise Sports and Technology Hub
