Biography
Dr. Di Buono is the President of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, a national charity committed to ensuring Canadian kids have equitable access to sport, physical activity and recreation. Dr. Di Buono has played an instrumental role in shaping Jumpstart since 2015 when he first joined as AVP, Programs & Operations. He led the growth of the Charity, doubling the size of its disbursements to now reach over 500,000 kids annually, and building over 650,000 square feet of inclusive recreational play spaces in communities across Canada.
He also led the transformation of Jumpstart to become a global leader in sport for development, serves as a trusted ally to various levels of government and sport sector leaders, and most importantly has developed enduring relationships with community leaders across Canada.
Before joining Jumpstart, Dr. Di Buono spent three years as Vice President, Science, Research & Professional Education at the American Heart Association, where he was responsible for the Association’s $170 million research enterprise and oversaw the development of clinical practice guidelines and professional education resources. Prior to entering the charitable sector, Dr. Di Buono oversaw Scientific & Regulatory Affairs at Kellogg Canada, wherein he played a significant role in both domestic and global product innovation.
Dr. Di Buono holds a Ph.D. in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Toronto and has a history of advocating for the health and well-being of children and youth.
Jeremy Luke

Biography
Jeremy Luke is the President and CEO Sport Integrity Canada (formerly the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport [CCES]). He has been working in the field of sport integrity for more than 20 years.
In his previous role as the Executive Director, Sport Integrity within the CCES, he oversaw the anti-doping and competition manipulation programs, as well as business development initiatives.
Jeremy has extensive experience in international sport; as a contributor to several World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Committees, chair of the WADA Independent Observer Program for the 2018 Asian Games, and a member of the International Olympic Committee Legal Working Group on Competition Manipulation. Jeremy was the Director of Anti-Doping with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games where he developed and implemented a comprehensive anti-doping program to protect the integrity of the Games.
Jeremy holds a master’s degree in Sport Administration from the University of Ottawa and a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (Honours) from Western University (Gold Medalist).
Nathalie Nye

Biography
Nathalie Nye has served as the Director General (DG) of Sport Canada since October 2023.
As DG of Sport Canada, Nathalie provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Canadian federal government’s investments, programs and policies that support the Canadian sport system at the national level. In this role, she guides initiatives that promote participation and excellence in sport, ensure safe, inclusive, and accessible opportunities for all Canadians, and strengthen the country’s high performance sport development. Nathalie works closely with national level sport organizations, provincial and territorial partners, and key stakeholders to advance Canada’s sport policy objectives and foster a sport environment that reflects Canadian values of fairness, diversity, and integrity.
Nathalie brings her leadership experience from across the Government of Canada, with a career spanning senior roles in multiple departments. Before joining Sport Canada, Nathalie was DG of Major Projects at Transport Canada, where she oversaw complex rail infrastructure initiatives, including the Lac-Mégantic rail bypass project. She also served as DG of Horizontal Integration at the Public Health Agency of Canada, contributing to the national COVID-19 vaccine rollout as part of the Vaccine Rollout Taskforce. Prior to that she was legal counsel with the Department of Justice for over a decade.
