Kia ora! As an Active Recreation Consultant with Sport New Zealand Ihi Aotearoa, I am dedicated to supporting the health, wellbeing, and development of young people through quality active recreation opportunities. My role involves advocating for participant-centred approaches, developing resources, and working alongside national and regional recreation partners. I hold a Master’s degree in Health Psychology. Outside of work, I enjoy running the trails around Wellington and playing social football.

Jack Devenish is an emerging engineering professional currently studying a Diploma of Civil Engineering at Melbourne Polytechnic, where he is developing the technical foundations for a career in civil engineering and sports facility infrastructure. Jack is a Student Engineer and Trainee with iDwala, a specialist consultancy with more than 30 years’ experience in the planning, design and delivery of outdoor sports facilities across Australia. As part of the next generation entering the sports surfacing and infrastructure sector, Jack brings a fresh perspective on how emerging professionals are learning from current industry practice, sustainability challenges, design and technical innovation.
