Tom Kuhr is Chief Operating Officer at Fastbreak AI, the leading AI-powered sports operations company trusted by over 65 professional leagues worldwide to build their season schedules. Fastbreak's customers include the NBA, NHL, MLS, Serie A, LaLiga, NRL and the AFL, giving Tom a front-row seat to how the world's top leagues approach the art and science of scheduling. At Fastbreak, Tom leads market strategy, marketing, customer success, operations, and talent across the company's business groups. He brings more than 25 years of experience in operations, product, and go-to-market leadership at hgh-growth software startups and global technology brands, with a career that has included two IPOs and four company acquisitions. Before joining Fastbreak, Tom served as Chief Marketing Officer at Greenfly, a sports technology company working with professional leagues and clubs around the around the world. His work across leagues on multiple continents gives him a unique perspective on what separates good schedules from great ones and how AI is changing what's possible for leagues of any size.

Biography

Stirling is a former international rugby union player renowned for his physicality and leadership. Over a 15-year career, he earned 140 Super Rugby and 80 Wallaby caps, captaining Australia from 2006–2009. In 2012, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his service to rugby. While still playing, Stirling began his corporate career at Citi Institutional Equities, later holding senior roles at NAB across Wealth Management and Institutional Banking. After a decade in corporate finance, he joined a boutique advisory firm focused on alternative investments, particularly in technology, serving UHNW advisors and family offices. In 2020, Stirling co-founded XV Capital with former teammate James Godfrey. XV is Australasia’s leading sports innovation accelerator and sports-tech investor, helping sports organisations, ventures, and investors unlock growth and value. Stirling sits on several boards including XV Capital, Sportable Australia and The Rugby Club Foundation (Treasurer & Chair of the IC), and is a former board member of the Melbourne Rebels, RUPA, and the US RWC Bid Partnership.
